XCOR | A Different Spectacle of Music
Amidst the revolving genre of this generation’s music industry, lies a subtle faction of a diverse harmony. XCOR – La Banda Vocal de Venezuela is finally here in the Philippines for their first ever Asia tour! Experience the music from different genres and styles from such high-calibre South American group.
Last December 5 2014 (Friday), we welcome them together with the University of Santo Tomas Singers held at La Verti SkyLounge Taft Ave., Pasay City. It was truly an honor to be invited at the said event and to meet them in person after their performance at the UST Concert held last December 3 and 4. XCOR is a 6-member professional a capella group that originated in Merida, Venezuela that executes instrument imitations in different genres like Salsa, Reggae, Bolero, Tango, Jazz, Pop, Vallenato and many more. Based on my music encounter with them twice, their music is very soothing and it gives you a break from the typical style of music we know. They have their own inimitability that makes them far far different from the prevailing bands of today. Their music is defined by their own sheer voice and unlike others, they have this strong charisma that gives you goose bumps whenever they start their piece. They’ve been in different countries before but this will be their first ever debut in Asia and it’s a great privilege that Philippines was their first choice!
This coming Dec 17 2014 (Wednesday), Cultural Center of the Philippines in cooperation with the University of Santo Tomas Singers presents XCOR Live in Manila at the CCP Little Theater. Don’t miss the chance to hear the spectacle of their music and see how they make their appeasing version of melody! For ticket inquiries, contact +639151013275 +639151293129
